"In the spring of 2010 I rented a room with blue shutters in Salvador, then moved up the coast to Recife. Every morning I wrote a song the way you would write a postcard: short, sunny and a little homesick. Back in Lisbon we recorded them with two percussionists who flew over from Bahia and stayed for a week of very loud dinners."
