The Parfumerie

Sleeve of The Parfumerie

"A small theatre in Montreal asked me for the songs of a play about a perfume shop in 1956: a shop girl, a widowed owner and a customer who buys a different scent every Saturday. I wrote one song for every bottle on the counter. After the last performance the cast asked for a record, so here it is."
